Remote Sensing Digital Database

The database contains examples discussed and shown in the first ten technology chapters. The database includes aerial, regional and high-spatial resolution multispectral imagery; thermal IR imagery; radar images; hyperspectral datacubes; DEMs; and UAS (drone) imagery. The database is 6 GB in size when the files are downloaded from the Waveland Press website (http://www.waveland.com/Sabins-Ellis/ ) and unzipped.
Each example is organized into a self-contained GIS database that opens with a ArcGIS Desktop .mxd project files (also can be opened with the newer ArcGIS Pro software). The display below shows the layers (images and often DEMs and maps) loaded into ArcGIS Desktop. Each GIS database has ArcGIS Desktop 10.6 and 10.2 project files for rapid loading of the layers.
